V4.2 includes enhanced international features and offline replication functionality

Nashville, TN – August 16, 2006 – Nashville-based CaseLogistix, Inc., a leading provider of evidence and litigation management software for the legal community, today announced the release of CaseLogistix version 4.2, the latest evidence management software version upgrade, including international language support, offline capabilities, and transcript support. CaseLogistix 4.x customers with a software maintenance agreement can automatically receive the version upgrade including all of the new features via the support web site.

CaseLogistix combines the best in artificial intelligence, word searching capabilities, and document organization/annotation tools with a friendly user interface that includes self-customizing features. CaseLogistix version 4.2 allows legal teams to quickly collect, organize, annotate, and research any amount of digital evidence using a software interface similar to that of Microsoft Outlook. In addition, the software permits legal teams to customize virtual libraries of documents through use of its unique IntelliFolder™ feature.

CaseLogistix has spent the last year working closely with its client base on carefully defining the new features, functions and customizations to be included in a major upgrade. A formal beta program, including top AmLaw firms Jenner & Block and Thompson Coburn LLP, was established to enable participants to evaluate, test and make customization requests prior to the general release.

Some of the key features and enhancements in CaseLogistix version 4.2 include:

International functionality/Unicode Compliance: View, index and search documents in Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Thai, and Turkish languages;

Localization: Due to newly added international language support, CaseLogistix screens, fields, and labels can be translated based on local language preferences;

OCR capability: Right click on a TIFF document and perform optical character recognition (OCR) on-the-fly to make the image searchable;

Offline functionality: Replicates the firm’s CaseLogistix library between multiple physical locations or for offline use with full functionality. 4.2 handles synchronizing offline with online copies, as well as conflicts between online and offline versions, or between multiple replicated copies of the same library;

Deposition transcript handling: Based on numerous client feedback sessions, 4.2 now includes vital transcript manipulation features. Major transcript file formats such as .TRN, .PTF, .PDF, .TIFF and ASCII can be added via drag and drop and are converted on the fly for redacting, annotating, and excerpting into notes.

Shared security library: New configuration allows multiple libraries to share a single user/workgroup/security group library, leading to a one-time, streamlined log-in process.

Active Directory Integration: CaseLogistix can be configured to recognize user network login and log the user into CaseLogistix automatically

Document Filters: Users, workgroups and security groups can be restricted to only view documents meeting certain criteria, or that appear in certain IntelliFolders

“Our objective all along has been to provide legal technology that the legal community can put to use and profit from,” stated Roe Frazer, CEO of CaseLogistix. “Having leading Am Law 100 firms endorse CaseLogistix and put our software in the hands of their most capable attorneys, litigation support staff, and IT groups inspires us to continually enhance and upgrade our offering.”
